2. What data the app processes

Antenna only processes data that is necessary to run the internet radio. Antenna does not operate any servers of its own; as the developer, I do not receive any of this data.

• Favorites and settings – are stored locally on your device (UserDefaults / app sandbox). They are only transferred if you turn on the optional iCloud sync (see section 3).
• Radio stream requests – when you play a station, a connection is made to that station's stream server. In the process, your IP address is transmitted to the external provider. Antenna has no influence on the privacy practices of these providers.
• Station search (RadioBrowser) – searching for stations uses the public API of radio-browser.info. The search query (station name) is transmitted. The privacy policy of radio-browser.info applies separately.
• Lyrics (LRCLIB) – to display synced lyrics, the current song (artist and title) is sent to the lyrics service lrclib.net. No personal data such as name, location or device identifiers is transmitted.
• Song recognition (Apple ShazamKit) – when the lyrics feature is turned on, Antenna creates acoustic signatures from the radio stream that is playing and sends them to Apple's Shazam service to identify the song and the position within it, so the lyrics can be synced. Only these signatures are transmitted, no audio recordings; the microphone is not used. If you turn off lyrics in the settings, no song recognition takes place. Apple's privacy policy applies.
• Album artwork (iTunes Search) – to display the cover, the artist and title of the current song are sent to Apple's public iTunes Search. Apple's privacy policy applies.

3. iCloud sync (optional, Premium)

With Antenna Premium, you can turn on iCloud sync in the settings. It is off by default. When it is on, Antenna stores the following data in the iCloud key-value storage of your Apple Account to keep it in sync between your devices:

• Favorites and recently played stations (station name, stream and homepage address, logo address, country, language, genres, bitrate, format)
• Language, preferred streaming service and lyrics setting
• Time of the last sync and the name of the device that synced last (so Antenna can show where the data comes from when you set up another device)

Station delay, lyrics offset and buffer time are not synced. The data is processed exclusively by Apple as the iCloud provider and is only available to you on devices signed in with your Apple ID – as the developer, I have no access to it. Apple's privacy policy applies. The legal basis is your consent by turning on the feature (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can turn sync off again in the settings at any time.

4. In-app purchase (Antenna Premium)

Antenna Premium is offered as a one-time in-app purchase through Apple's App Store. The purchase and payment are handled entirely by Apple. I do not receive your name, your payment details or your Apple ID. The app only checks via Apple's StoreKit interface whether the purchase exists on your Apple Account. Apple's terms and privacy policy apply.

5. No tracking or analytics data

Antenna contains no third-party analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs. No device identifiers, usage statistics or behavioral profiles are collected.

6. No advertising

Antenna does not show any ads and contains no advertising SDK.

7. Streaming services (optional)

If you choose a preferred streaming service (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, YouTube Music) in the settings and open a song there, you leave the Antenna app. The processing of data within these services is governed by their own privacy policies.

8. CarPlay

The CarPlay integration does not transmit any additional data. It uses the same functionality as the app itself – favorites are loaded locally, and the station search runs via RadioBrowser (see section 2).

9. Siri Shortcuts

If you create or use Siri shortcuts for Antenna, voice commands are processed by Apple. You can find more information in Apple's privacy policy.

10. Data storage and deletion

You can delete the locally stored data (favorites, settings) at any time by uninstalling the app or by deleting the app data in the iOS/macOS settings.

If you turn off iCloud sync, Antenna stops transferring data to iCloud. Antenna data already stored in iCloud remains in your iCloud account until it is overwritten by a new sync or removed via your Apple Account's iCloud management. If you have questions about this, I'm happy to help (see section 13).

11. Children

Antenna is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. Since I as the developer do not collect any personal data whatsoever, there are no particular risks for minors.

12. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated if the app changes significantly. The date of the last change is shown above.
